"Sex, Money and Power" january - march 2013

Born in 1966 (Daniel) and 1969 (Geo) in Germany. Live and work in Neuberg.

Artist couple Daniel and Geo Fuchs has been working together for more than 15 years, creating photographic conceptual projects. Their interest in the world of science led them to produce in 1996 the Conserving series, for which they photographed specimens from natural history museums and anatomical collections, many of which have never been before on public display. In this series they explored themes of mortality, life and death. The virtuosic use of lighting and the beauty of the colors in these images recall the enigmatic paintings of Hieronymus Bosch. More recently, in their series Toygiants (2005-2007), with images of action figures, they raise questions about the power of mass media and the cult of personality.
