What´s New

Dear friends,

We’d like to start the new year by conveying our best wishes in the spirit of art and compassion.

On the 31st of January, art will fight famine with an auction in benefit of Action contre la Faim (ACF). Some 60 original plates by artists and designers will be on sale under the aegis of auction house Cornette de Saint-Cyr at Maison Particulière. We are delighted to help support ACF. Please find the catalog here if you wish to consult it.

We are starting January with art, too: the BRAFA, art and antiquities fair of which we are partners, will be held from 21 to 29 January at Tour & Taxis. Did you know that BRAFA is the oldest art and antiquities fair in Europe and that its first edition took place in 1956? We would like to thank its president, Harold t'Kint of Roodenbeke, and his wonderful team for this partnership for five consecutive years. There are still a couple of tickets to the fair at Maison Particulière for the members who visit us this week.

The relationship between art and literature will also be emphasised on the 16th of February. We are honored to present Pierre Rouy-Cartier's book, L'ultime lettre, from éditions abordables. It is an overwhelming book about secrets and, without revealing any, we simply propose you join us for a discussion between the author and Amaury de Solages, with a book signing afterwards. You will receive an invitation to this evening at the begin of February.

A final word about this ultimate exhibition at Maison Particulière, From here to eternity: Amaury and I felt, after six years, that we had expressed, highlighted and experienced an original way of seeing and feeling art in a house. We have said what we wanted to say: reveal a different view on art, subjective and free, playful and uninhibited, with those who live it, and those who create it. This singular approach gradually met with esteem, success and public goodwill. We finish as we started, in complete freedom, because we think that we have come to the end of this exciting adventure.

Many of you have already visited From here to eternity, but we welcome you, your family, and friends until the 30th of April. We still have 3 months to spend together with events to attend and moments to share.

All the best,

Myriam and Amaury de Solages
